The Laurens County Foster Parent Association is a group of individuals who are committed to providing a loving and stable
home to children who are in the custody of the Laurens County Department of Social Services primarily due to the abuse or
neglect of the children.
We are a diverse group and we welcome people of all races, religions, and national origin. We believe that children
are treasures we must protect. We hold monthly meetings and have a permanent office located on the Public Square in
Laurens City, South Carolina. We pride ourself on our varied socio-economic diversity. We work in conjuction
with the Department of Social Services, guardians-ad-Litem, courts and a variety of other organizations to provide everything
necessary to foster a brighter future for "our children."
We welcome the interest of any person or
organization in becoming a foster parent, becoming a guardian or mentor. We also embrace anyone who wishes to help with
the needs of the children. We are a non-profit group and we rely solely on private funds.

Our mission is to provide Love, Stability, and Understanding to children in need.
We have an "adopt a child program" whereby you can select from a list of children and provide an item they need or desire.
You will be given a first name, age, clothing and shoe sizes and a brief statement about the child, their hopes and
dreams. Due to confidentiality we cannot provide a picture or information which would allow anyone to identify the children.
